About

deborahThe Author

Howdy Y’all!  My name is Ms. Freeman; my friends call me Debo and I am from the United States of America, currently residing in North Texas.  I am single and the proud mother of a US Navy Sailor.  I have lived in several different regions of this great country, but prefer the Southern hospitality of Texas although New England is my territory of birth.

I have completed my Associates degree and I am currently working on my Bachelors Degree, Business Administration expecting to graduate in 2010.  Thank goodness for online college and a employer that pays full tuition.  I’ve worked in the Call Center-Customer Service industry for over 14 years, currently within the financial market as a Work Force Manager.  I am very detail oriented and relish creative challenges.

I love my family, blogging, tennis, cooking, raspberries, seafood, and elephants.  Being near the water is a joy, but being in Texas I am pretty much land locked for now.  I train for marathons which means I love to run and the peace and tranquility that comes with it.

The Blog

I started dabbling in the internet in 2005 due to my little brother encouraging me to learn HTML.  He was telling me how he was making all this money with websites and people clicking on ads.   So, I learned html through trial and error as well as with the help of http://www.w3schools.com/ .  Freeman Legacy LLC started as a basic website of copy and paste articles (with author profiles at the bottom).  There was absolutely no visitor interaction or comment section.  I would check on it once a month to insure it was still there, cash the Google checks and update the affiliate rotations.  And there it sat for four years making some money and quite frankly really boring for both me and the visitor.  So in August of 2009 I decided to change the platform and installed WordPress and created this blog.

Freeman Legacy LLC was reborn!

With the current economic climate I found that I sleep better at night knowing I was proactively making strides towards financial independence on my own terms.   I am creating revenue and calling the shots and not relying solely on the whims of my employer.  As I venture into the realm of Internet Entrepreneurship the light at the end of the tunnel gets brighter and brighter every day.

Why Become An Entrepreneur?

Someone becomes an entrepreneur by creating a SIMPLE solution to a specific problem they are experiencing.

The problem that I have experienced is working for “the man”, living from pay check to pay check, and not living the lifestyle I dreamed and deserve.  Enabling someone else to realize their goal of becoming financially well off through my hard work is not my idea of living a happy life.

Let me state that This is not a “How to Make Money Online” or “How to Make Money Blogging” blog.  I am not an authority in that niche and as you can imagine that niche is extremely over saturated, by both gurus and money making wannabes.  In fact many “gurus” may find this blog quite remedial, however if you are looking for a fresh perspective on Internet Entrepreneurship this is the place.  There is no such thing as a stupid question here, and answers and comments are welcome from every reader.  However Spam will not be tolerated.   I make every attempt to respond or reply to each and every comment left on my blog as well.

This blogs IS a personal journal of my rise from a 9-5 mid-level professional to a Dot Com Mogul, by any means necessary.  Check back regularly for my plans, successes, and failures as I make my way to the lifestyle I was born to live.

Thank you for your visit,

Ms. Freeman

  7. I can’t believe it took me this long to get to your About Page. But soooo glad I did. Now, I’ve got to go a do something about that little 3 sentence blurb I’ve got on my blog – that just shows how influential and motivating you are.
I’m working towards the same goal, to be independent from my day job…someday…soon…hopefully. :)
