Time For A New Job

Time For A New Job

As a teenager we are taught to go out and get a part time job. Most often teens do this by going to work at the local fast food joint, restaurant or a clothing shop in the mall. These are great sources for teenagers from the ages of 16-19 to score some quick cash and it does teach them a core value, which is a strong work ethic.

However, doing so is also harming them in the long run by teaching them to first work for someone else. They are being taught to punch in and produce rather then form their own goals or dreams and developing a plan to achieve them. There entrepreneurial will to aspire is slowly be leached from their spirit.

Instead what they should do is while still at home with the safety net of their parent’s figure out their own business plan to make money. Businesses such as mowing lawns, tutoring other students, dog walking, blogging & journalism etc. can be run after school and on weekends.

Doing so will help these key entrepreneurial traits flourish in teens; creating stronger and smarter Entrepreneurs.
