List of Online Blog Directories and Search Engines
One of the most important things you must do to promote a blog–and it’s quite obvious really– is to have great content. That’s numero uno. I get it! But, what is the point in writing great content if no one can find it- to read it.
I need to get indexed in Google and start building my page ranking. I will do this by reaching out to as many free listing services as possible.
Once they knows about my blog, a blog search engine will crawl my blog looking for fresh information once I ping them. So every service I register my blog with should be added to my ping list if they provide a specific ping address, sometimes called an RPC.
For instance Wordpress has a working ping client (meaning I can add places to ping to my configuration).
Listed here are online blog directories and search engines. Start with the first one and work your way through the list is probably the best way to get this job done.

As you can see I have my work cut out for me this week. I am registering and listing my blog to all of these directories. Content is King! But only if my readers can find it.

I would like to say thank you for including this list. I have had a hard time getting my page rank up. I feel that this is the information that I have been missing. Getting a website indexed is more than just having it well written. It has to be linked to by major directories that have high ranking. This directory will at least give me a starting point.

What an extensive list of directories and SE’s you have posted here. I know a hard work and good research when I see one and this fits perfectly that category. While I know most of them, there are several others which did slip my own list. Thanks and you are right, if no one knows that you exist, you will not be found. Off to see which ones I have not yet signed up for:)
Posting your business in online directories not only help promote your business but increase the chance of having a great number of customers as well.
